DOL Experiencing Delays in Printing Unemployment Checks

The Virgin Islands Department of Labor is experiencing in-house technical issues in the printing of Unemployment Insurance (UI) checks. It is evaluating the cause of the issue and utilizing all available resources to rectify the problem and keep the general public informed, according to a press release issued Tuesday by the V.I. DOL
Commissioner Albert Bryan Jr. said that unemployment checks are printed on a daily basis, and the last batch of checks were printed and mailed out on Friday, March 30. “Recognizing the upcoming long Easter weekend, we are diligently working to do everything possible to eliminate any undue hardship to our UI claimants,” said Bryan.
