19-Year-Old is Victim in Upper Love Homicide

Kyron Finney, 19, died about 8 p.m. Tuesday from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, according to a press release from the Police Department. The shooting happened in Estate Upper Love.

An off-duty police officer who was in the vicinity of Estate Upper Love and River Road heard shots discharged. The officer told police that he observed at least two individuals fleeing the area on foot. Officers called to the scene later observed an unresponsive male lying on the side of the road. He was dressed in a black t-shirt, gray jeans and black slippers.

Detectives, forensic technicians and other officers processed the scene. Several shell casings and other evidence were collected and will undergo testing.
