Classes for the St. Croix District Parent University (PU) will be held from Tuesday, March 27 to Wednesday, April 18, according to Janet Brow, St. Croix District school community relations director. Parents are invited to enroll for free classes, which will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the St. Croix Career and Technical Educational Center (CTEC).
“The program offers literacy, writing, math and technology classes for parents in addition to exposing them to a broad variety of topics relating to raising children,” Brow said. “There’s no test, no grades, and the environment is non-threatening.” Free transportation and child care services will be available to participating parents.
.Applications may be picked up and returned, completed, to all district public schools and at the Department of Education headquarters located at 2133 Hospital Street, Christiansted. Parents may also take completed applications to the PUoffice at CTEC on the opening day of classes.
