Artist Kimberly Boulon’s oil paintings will be featured in an opening reception from 5 – 8 p.m. on Friday, March 2, at Bajo el Sol Gallery in Mongoose Junction, Cruz Bay.
A 32-year resident of St. John, Boulon is known for her visually beautiful land and seascapes, and figure paintings.
This show explores the relationship between the sea, land and sky. Each painting includes the human element, the boat, as it interfaces between all three — a minuscule spot of brightness that passes through nature’s enormous yet meditative presence.
