Augustus Esprit Dies at 71

Augustus Esprit
Augustus Esprit, also known as "Veve" or "Broads," of Estate Whim died on Feb. 14, at the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 71 years old.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Esprit. He is survived by his daughters: Celia Bernard, Aldith Charles, Hilda Cuffy and Euril Esprit; sons: Vanty Esprit and Henry Esprit; grandchildren: Jerome, Nigel, Shera, Bernita, Travis, Trevor, Vanty Jr., Vanessa, Vincent, Kishon, Rachel, Aisha, Kimberly, Agyei, Atiba, Adika, Shamali, Melvin Jr., Makibah and Derneil; great-grandchild, Narcada; daughters-in-law: Ayanna Dennery-Esprit and Erica Esprit; sons-in-law: Robertson Bernard, Robinson Charles, Melvin Cuffy and Lawson Prosper; sisters: Althea Esprit, Inna Simon and Elveta Luke; Whales Esprit, Sylvester Esprit, Julie Esprit, Charleson Alphonse and T-Boy Esprit; sisters-in-law: Emerline, Melice, Millicent and Theresa Esprit; brother-in-law, Vernon Simon; aunt, Noella; nieces: Gemma and Rosie and many more too numerous to mention; and nephews too numerous to mention.
He is also survived by cousins and other relatives: Arthur and Joan Dennery, Carlton and Donna Esprit, Wilbert and Sonia Esprit, Griffin, Leanna and family, Vernice and William, Shirley and family, Corrine and Jeff, Irma Clem and Ade, Roslyn and Darius and family, Avandele and Ann, Delphina and family, Matthew "Broads," Roy and family, Cynthia and Rufus, Sister and T-Boy, Shelly and Ali Dennery and family; and many more too numerous to mention; special friends: Pastor Damarse Eloi and family, Dr. Pascal, Elizabeth and Osborne Nicholas and family, Kendra Joseph, Karen and Desmond, the Jules family, the Gordon family, Carmen, Julio, the Johnson family, Attorney Wynter, Villa Madeleine Condo crew and owners, Art-Den Jitsu System, Jose Saldana and family, Colorama staff, Dr. Griffith and staff of Cardiovascular Associates of the V.I., the Gov. JFL Hospital ICU Unit and the people of Campbell, Bells and Mahaut Village, Dominica, West Indies; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 2, at the Miracle Revival Deliverance Tabernacle Church, Beeston Hill. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
