Police Investigating Hospital Ground Homicide

St. Thomas detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred In Hospital Ground at approximately 6:45 a.m. Monday.

Officers were dispatched around that time to the Hospital Ground area, where they found the body of a male victim inside a car near the basketball court. Medical personnel said the man had no vital signs.

Forensic technicians from the Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau inspected the scene and recovered at least two spent shell casings in the immediate area.

The victim’s name has not yet been released by police, but VIPD did acknowledge he was 33 years old and wearing a black hat, white shirt and dark jeans.

This case remains under active investigation by the Police Department, and residents with any information are asked to contact detectives at 715-5534, 715-5545 orl Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS.
