Missing Minor Located

Investigation Bureau detectives on St. Croix safely located 14-year-old Rasjhida Escobar Friday morning, after her photograph was distributed and published to the local media.

Escobar’s mother reported her missing on Jan. 14, and after police issued a media release with Escobar’s photograph, detectives received several phone calls from concerned citizens, according to police. Escobar was located at 10 a.m. in Estate Glen by Special Operation Bureau officers, who followed a tip from a concerned citizen.

Police said the minor seemed to be in good physical condition. The Youth Investigation Bureau detectives continue to follow up on this case.
