Joseph A. Christian Dies at 89

Joseph A. Christian, also known as "Joe," of Estate Pleasant Valley died on Jan. 2, at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 89 years old.
He is survived by his daughters: Beverly Plaskett, Marie Christian, Marcia Christian, Katherine Christian and Veronicah Christian; sons: John Christian, Juma Christian and Joshua Christian; grandchildren: Karla and Aaron Plaskett, Ralph and Hugh James, Shawn Robles, Jerome, Mela, Tyler, Elijah and Kelsey Christian; granddaughters-in-law: Tiffany James, Jillian James and Jessica Robles; sisters-in-law: Maria Christian and Ecilma Christian; great-grandchildren: Jordan and Christopher James, Terrence Robles, Jennifer Gunn and Darian Benjamin Jr.; son-in-law, Carl Plaskett; brothers: Peter Christian, Clement Christian, Augustine Christian, Alphonso Christian and Bernard Christian; nieces: Teresa Walton, Juanita Christian, Lydia Cabret, Rita Lawson, Carol Williams, Joyce Caines, Angela Christian, Kathy Joy Christian and Iris Christian; and nephews: Michael Christian, Gerard Christian Jr., John Christian, Donald Christian, Augustine Christian and Bernard Christian Jr.
He is also survived by great nieces: Aisha Royall, Lucy Cabret, Eden Cabiness, Nicole Messer, Omisha Williams, M’ Kaila Caines, Allysa Brady, Rosalinda Christian, Shanika Christian, Akilah Christian and Maya Christian; great nephews: Kevaan Waltor, Andres Felix, Benjamin Cabret, Christian Harris, Kenneth Lawson, Mateo Martin, Marcel Christian, Jamal Christian, David Christian, Jamie Christian, Nigel Christian and Augustine Christian Jr.; special friends: the Bailey, the Smith and the Hewitt families, Harry Harris, Anselmo Heyliger, Richard Schrader and Horace Callwood; cousins and other relatives: the McAlpin and the Edney families; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
