Marcus Ryan Laurent Dies in California

Marcus Ryan Laurent, also known as “Cryee” and “Mailman,” of Estate Upper Love and Adventure Hill, St. Croix, departed this life on Dec. 26, at Stanford Medical Center in California. He was 30 years old.
He is survived by his mother, Marpha Theodile; father, Cosmas Laurent; second mother, Bernadette Leon; companion, Devon Simon; godmother, Deborah Harney; godfather, Jerome Leon; brothers: Lyndon Theodile, Aurius Laurent, Conrad Laurent, Cosmos Laurent and Steven Laurent; sisters: Allison Laurent, Marsha Laurent, Jean Daniel Laurent and Kyturah Laurent; uncles: Callixte Leon, Joseph Leon, Jerome Leon, Francis Laurent, Anthony Fatal Sr., Daniel Theodile, Maxim Theodile, Francis Daniel, Charles Anson and St. Omer Anson; special aunt, Hilaria Duval; and aunts: Roseline Laurent and Josephine Didier.
He is also survived by special cousins: Anastasia Leon, Cynthia Leon, Maria Leon, Stephen Leon, Simon Leon, John Leon, Romulus Daniel, Christopher Leon, Matthew Leon, Bouili Didier, Anthony Fatal Jr., Timmy Fatal, Deborah Harney, Garfield Duval, Desmond R. Duval, Lincoln Duval, Anthony Duval, Aesha Duval, Eli Duval and Samantha Duval; special nieces and nephews: Victoria Theodile, Lyndon Theodile Jr. Priscilla Laurent, CJ Laurent, Precious Laurent and Sasha Gomez; special friends: Landon Ranking, Tang Yuk, Edward Lawrence, Burrell Gill, Michael Gill, Troy Gill, Tameka Duncan, Keron Modeste, Marius Modeste and Jason Ferriere; as well as many other family members and friends to numerous to mention. Special thanks to Dan Lawrence and the Caribbean Cooling Co., and the Caribbean Cooling Company crew; Brady’s Restaurant and family; and the Leon, Laurent, Fatal, Duval and Gidharry families.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
