WAPA Runs Out of Water for Late Friday Customers

Due to the high customer use of water in the earlier part of the evening’s rotaton the Water and Power Authority was unable to provide water to the Hospital Ground, Ross Taananberg, Havensight, Garden Street., and Bunker Hill areas Friday night.

In a statement sent at 7:30 p.m., WAPA spokeswoman Cassandra Dunn asked customers to please be considerate of their neighbors. “Customers with water service are asked to use water thoughtfully during their scheduled rotation to maximize the opportunity for neighboring areas to also receive water service when scheduled,” Dunn said. The authority, she said, will make every effort to hold to Saturday’s schedule.
