Alfredo Andrews School Announces Spelling Bee Winner

Alfredo Andrews Elementary School has announced that Jakeel Jackson is the school’s 2011-2012 spelling bee champion. Jackson clinched the competition recently by correctly spelling “bristle” after outclassing 30 students, including first runner-up speller Darwin Christian, in seven outstanding rounds. Both top spellers are sixth graders in the pre-Advance Placement (AP) program at the school.
