Schools Schedule Annual Holiday Concerts

Students across St. Thomas and St. John are gearing up for their annual school holiday concerts and programs, and the entire community is encouraged to attend. This year’s program schedule is as follows:
Charlotte Amalie High School: 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18 in the Ruth E. ThomasAuditorium. The evening will begin with a parade of all the auxiliary units down the Sugar Estate Road, and the production, “Hear the Christmas Bells,” will feature all the school’s performing ensembles.
Tickets are on sale at the music department for $10 per adult and $5 per student.
Ivanna Eudora Kean High School: 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, in the school cafeteria. “Kean’s Cotton Club” will be ushering in the season this year with a special “Swinging for the Holidays” production. Tickets are available in the main office and from the band students and booster club parents at $10 for adults and $5 for students.
E. Benjamin Oliver Elementary: 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, in the BCB Middle School auditorium. Tickets can be purchased in the school’s main office.
Joseph Gomez Elementary: 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18, in the BCB Middle School Auditorium. This year’s show is themed “Merry Christmas! Caribbean Style,” and will feature performances by the school’s concert band, primary choir, concert choir and Mighty Panbusters, among others. The entrance fee is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
Leonard Dober Elementary: 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, in the school’s courtyard. This on-campus performance is free for the community to attend.
Lockhart Elementary School: 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, in the school cafeteria. The theme this year is “A Christmas Celebration.” Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
Ulla F. Muller Elementary: Saturday, Dec. 17th, on the school campus. Gates open at 3 p.m., followed by a tree lighting ceremony at 6:30 p.m. and the official holiday concert at 7 p.m. Food and drinks will be on sale, and the entrance fee is $5 for all ages.
Guy Benjamin School: 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, in the school’s courtyard.
Julius Sprauve School: The Christmas program is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, with a holiday concert to follow that evening at 6:30 p.m. on the school’s campus. Both events are open admission, and the entire community is invited to come out and support the students. A choir performance is also scheduled for Government House on St. Thomas at 10 a.m. on Dec. 21.
Edith Williams Elementary: the school will be hosting its annual Christmas and Kwanzaa luncheon at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, in the cafeteria.
