Office of Veterans Affairs on St. Thomas Closes for Two Days

The offices of the St. Thomas Office of Veterans Affairs will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 1 and Friday, Dec. 2 to accommodate relocation to its new office at the Elainco Building, downstairs from the Department of Tourism, according to a press release issued Tuesday by the Office of Veterans Affairs.
“This relocation will enable us to better serve our veterans in the St. Thomas-St. John district with more privacy and greater individual assistance. We look forward to serving veterans from our new office location and providing the counselling assistance, as well as the information on scholarships, home loans, and reimbursement information regarding our travel and burial benefits, and other updates on the local side,” Director Morris Moorehead said.
The office will re-open at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 6.
During the closure, inquiries can be made at the St. Croix office at 773-6663.
