Sterling Silver Shopping Event Benefits Women's Coalition

Lizette Llanos Popo will host a sterling jewelry shopping event from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, at Reminisce Restaurant in Queen’s Quarters to benefit the Women’s Coalition of St. Croix. The first "Pay It Forward, In Silpada Style" campaign will help the coalition celebrate its 30th anniversary.
The main feature of the evening will be the display of .925 sterling silver Silpada Designs jewelry, which will be available for purchase. Orders can also be made online by visiting
www.mysilpada.com/lizette.llanospopo and select WCSC as the host when checking out.
The event is free to attend, and Reminisce Restaurant will offer drink specials throughout the evening. Purchasing guests will also be able to nominate a family in need to receive a special holiday blessing from LlanosPopo as part of the "Pay It Forward” campaign.
Popo organized the event when she heard of the series of unfortunate events that affected the Women’s Coalition, including the fire which damaged their crisis center, the 55 percent reduction in government funding, and the theft of copper wiring from their newly constructed center. She is donating 100 percent of her commission from the sale of all Silpada jewelry that evening, and she has received generous donations from a number of businesses for door prizes.
Silpada Designs is a national company that was started in 1997 and sells handcrafted .925 “Tiffany”- quality sterling silver jewelry that is backed with a lifetime guarantee.
