Brief: Man Killed in Accident on North Shore Road

St. Croix traffic officers are investigating a car accident that occurred Sunday morning near Country Day School on North Shore Road that resulted in the death of 24-year-old Andres Garcia.

According to the police report, Garcia was heading north on North Shore Road at approximately 11:30 p.m., when he apparently lost control of his Chevy Cavalier, ran off the road and crashed into a tree.

Emergency Medical Technicians transported Garcia by ambulance to Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

This case remains under investigation. Anyone with any information regarding this accident is urged to contact officers at 778-2244, 778-9857 or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS.
