Kim A. Murphy, 30, of Cruz Bay was arrested at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday and charged with aggravated assault and battery for allegedly assaulting an officer while he was performing his duties near the police station.
Her bail was set at $1,000, according to a VIPD press release issued Monday.
Another Cruz Bay resident, Hensely Sonson, 38, was also arrested at 5:30 p.m. Saturday on aggravated assault and battery charges related to domestic violence. Police said he assaulted his girlfriend. His bail was denied due to the domestic violence law.
The suspects were remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
