Ronald Sheppard, also known as “Sheppi or “Sheppo,” died on Oct. 27 at his residence. He was 73 years old.
He is survived by his son, Dale “Ras the Baker” Sheppard; daughters: Janelle Sheppard Thomas and Julie Sheppard Carr; sons-in-law: Vernon Daniel Carr and Randolph Thomas; daughter-in-law, Lydia Sheppard; brother, Pastor Rupert U. Sheppard; sister, Evelyn Sheppard; grandchildren: Sadio, Nkosi, Micah and Malachi Thomas, Kishawn, Kadish and Wanda Sheppard; great-granddaughters: Ayana and Aisha Sheppard; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Eastern Cemetery.
