The Boys & Girls Clubs Kick Off Campaign

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virgin Islands will kick off its annual “Great Futures Start Here” campaign with an open house from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Boys & Girls Club located at 7 Market Street, Christiansted. The public is invited to attend. The campaign will raise funds for the clubs’ after-school programs and services for youth, ages 6-18, living in Christiansted, Frederiksted and on St. Thomas. The campaign seeks donations primarily from individuals.
Funds raised will help sponsor kids to attend summer camp and provide quality after school programs such as the Power Hour homework help and tutoring program, the Torch Club program, Club Tech, Passport to Manhood, Smart Girls, arts and crafts, fitness and sports, and character and leadership programs.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virgin Islands, founded in 1973, is a non-profit, privately-funded 501{c}{3} organization and depends on private donations and volunteers to accomplish its mission. The clubs annually serves almost 200 youth across many locations on St. Croix and St. Thomas. To make a donation or to volunteer, contact the Boys & Girls Clubs office at 778-8990 or visit the Web site at http://www.boysandgirlsclubsvi.org.
