In celebration of Military Family Month, the Virgin Islands National Guard (VING) Family Program Office is hosting territorial events in November to show appreciation for the military family. While the VING and the V.I. community are honoring military families, they are also being recognized on a national level. Events are planned for military families and beneficiaries.
In a presidential proclamation, President Barack Obama called on Americans to honor the military family for the sacrifices they make to keep us free. The president wrote, “I call on all Americans to honor military families through private actions and public service for the tremendous contributions they make in the support of our service members and our nation.
