Man Shot in Leg at Estate Mountain Restaurant

Police on St. Croix are investigating the non-fatal shooting of a male victim that occurred early Thursday morning at Crucian Wings in Estate Mountain.

Police were dispatched to investigate a gunshot victim at approximately 1:30 a.m. at Crucian Wings in Estate Mountain. When officers arrived, they noticed a male victim with at least one gunshot wound in his lower left leg.

According to the victim, he had just finished locking up the business and went to the north side of the building where he noticed two males in dark clothing on the side of the building. He told police one man attempted to punch him, and when he started to run, he heard gunshots and realized he had been shot.

The victim was later treated at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg. The suspects are still being sought.
