Annual Women’s Empowerment Conference Slated for Nov. 19

Heal a Woman to Heal a Nation will hold the second annual “Releasing toRenew” conference, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Hotel on the Cay, St. Croix. The cost is $35 for general admission or $20 for teen girls (13-16 years old).
Heal a Woman to Heal a Nation provides conference participants with many activities, including Zumba lessons and several informational sessions on health and wellness. Participants can also expect to find empowering sessions on topics such as “Essentially Me,” “The Sisterhood Agenda” and more. There will be a healing workshop entitled “Transformation Arrow” with local art therapist Maria Stiles as well great prizes from companies like Itiba LLC, a local manufacturer of natural skin care products. This year’s conference welcomes sponsors such as VI CARE, Per Ankh and St. Thomas-based Sisterhood Agenda.
Founded by Mothyna James-Brightful, Maria James and Monokia Tyson, all under the age of 30, this event emphasizes that women hold the power to change the world.
