Service Station Robbed by Man in Halloween Mask

Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives on St. Croix are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a service station Tuesday night in Estate Carlton in which the suspect reportedly wore a Halloween mask.

According to the preliminarily police report, an unknown person walked into Karim’s Service Station at about 9:30 p.m. wearing a mask, a black hoodie, and light-colored pants. The suspect was about 5 feet 11 inches, according to witnesses at the scene.

The suspect allegedly walked in the door, pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded money. He was given $200 in cash by the cashier and nobody was injured during the holdup. The suspect left the store after receiving the money and began walking in an easterly direction behind the service station.

The case is being followed up by the Criminal investigation Bureau detectives. Anyone having any information on this robbery is asked to call the detectives at 712-6077, 712-6037 or you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
