The Friends of the St. Thomas Public Libraries (FOSTPL) will celebrate National Friends of Libraries Week, Oct. 16-22, with an invite to the community to demonstrate its love for libraries. The third annual Gathering of Friends event is entitled “SOL – Support Our Libraries.” From 4-5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, everyone is urged to visit their island’s legislature grounds on St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas with a book for our lawmakers and Support Our Libraries because we need well-staffed, well-equipped libraries with convenient hours to serve the public.
