Benjamin Elias Ford Dies at 74

Benjamin Elias Ford age of Estate La Grange, Frederiksted, died on Oct. 1, at his residence. He was 74 years old.
He is survived by his live-in mate caregiver, Primrose Antoine; wife, Deloyce B. Ford: mother of Lt. Col. Andamo E. Ford and Kym Ford Larché; daughter: Kym Ford Larché; son: Lt. Col. Andamo E. Ford; grandchildren: Elisa T. Ford (N.C.), Andamo E. Ford II (N.C.), Kai B. Ford (N.C.), Antoine F. Ford (La.) and Benjamin E. Ford II (La.); stepchildren: Misty Harley (St. Croix), Noel Dover (Ind.), Stedroy Dover (Ga.) and Sindy Dover (Ga.); special step grandchild, Schinice Brow (Ga.); nieces: Nancy A. Soto (St. Croix), Deloris Paris-White (Va.) and Caren Andrews (Fla.); and nephews: Felix Paris (Bronx, N.Y.), David A. Andrews, Sr. (Ga.) and Robertito J. Andrews (N.J.).
He is also survived by family: the Prince family of La Grange, Frederiksted, the Canton and Harley families of Frederiksted, the Lovegreen family of Zion Farm and the Williams family of Kingshill; daughter-in-law: Marie-Therese Ford (La.); son-in-law: Crispus Larché (Ga.); special friends: Walter and Louise Sykes (N.C.), Stanley McIntosh (St. Croix), Jerome James (St. Thomas), Frances Petersen (Texas), and Henderson Jones and family (Barbados); as well as other family and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Kingshill Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery, Veterans Section.
