The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) is notifying the public of its latest territory-wide gas price survey findings. The survey was completed on Sept. 30 on St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John. The gas survey is designed to inform consumers on which stations offer the best fuel prices.
The latest rack-rate price change currently in effect by Hovensa decreases regular fuel by .13 cents per gallon, premium by .15 cents per gallon, and diesel fuel by .13 cents per gallon. Retailers are expected to reflect the full wholesale price decrease in pump prices as soon as they purchase new fuel at the lower rack rate.
St. Croix
The following information indicates where consumers can find the best bargain for gasoline in the St. Croix District.The highest prices found on St. Croix for full service gasoline were $4.99 for premium and $4.89 for regular. The highest prices for self service gasoline were $4.24 for premium and $3.70 for regular. The highest price for diesel fuel was $4.81 per gallon.
