Police Arrest Two Men for Grand Larceny

Two men were arrested by police Wednesday and charged with grand larceny in separate incidents.

Kadeem Barnes, 22, was arrested around 2 a.m. Wednesday and charged with robbing a hardware store. Barnes was found by police inside the store and admitted to talking a laptop and other items, according to a V.I. Police Department news release. Barnes has also been charged with trespassing and third-degree burglary; his bail was set at $61,000.

In an unrelated incident, St. John resident Glanville Frazer, 45, was arrested a little before 7 p.m. Wednesday. Frazier admitted to stealing eight tires from a trailer belonging to Paris Car Rental, where he is employed. Frazer also sold some of the tires, the VIPD release said.

Frazer’s bail was set at $45,000 at the time of his arrest. He is also charged with possession of stolen property.

Both men have been remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending an advice of rights hearing.
