October Surprise Triathlon to Be Held on Oct. 16

The October Surprise Triathlon will be held at Cramers Park on Oct. 16. The event will feature both a Sprint Distance triathlon and a Try-a-Tri distance.
The Sprint race is the standard East End triathlon course only taking place in the opposite directions, and will include a .5-mile one loop, clockwise swim, a 14-mile counterclockwise tour of the East End and a 3-mile clockwise loop of Cramers Park and the surrounding roads.
The Try-a-Tri will start with a 350 yard swim, followed by a 6.5-mile bike and 1.5-mile run.
Both races will start at 7 a.m. The Sprint Distance race will be a scoring race for the VI Triathlon Federation point series.
Entry forms can be picked up at Stamina Sports, located at 4A Orange Grove in the old Bingo Building.
