Natural Hair Expo to Visit St. Thomas, St. Croix

The first "I Am Beautiful" Natural Hair Care Workshop and Exposition will be held Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Windward Passage Hotel on St. Thomas and Sunday at Gertrude’s Restaurant on St. Croix.

The workshop will include a natural hair show, live demonstrations, product explanations, Q & A opportunities, and a chance to learn from people with over 20 years of experience in natural hair care.

The featured presenter will be celebrity natural hair stylist Felecia Leatherwood, whose client list includes Will Smith, Jill Scott, Anthony Anderson and Arsenio Hall. She’s also the host and owner of the Ultimate Hair Care Workshops held nationwide.

Also presenting will be Black Onyx, founder of Alikay Naturals, 100 percent natural beauty products and Nyamani Chic Jewelry and Accessories.

The workshop and expo will be hosted by Cassidy of Cassidy Naturals, a well known natural hair blogger. In addition, there will be V.I. natural hair presenters and stylists included in the presentations and discussions.

Tickets, $15 in advance, $20 at the door, will be available at Essentric Shoe Boutique, Global Wholesale, Stride Rite, Sheer Xtacy and Urban Threadz on St. Thomas. On St. Croix, they will be available at Natural Expressions, Urban Threadz and Essentric Shoe Boutique. The price will include food and drinks.
