The V.I. Department of Education’s State Office of Special Nutrition Programs is looking for volunteers to help with packing, lifting and other duties during its upcoming USDA Commodities public distribution days. The dates, times and locations are as follows:
St. Croix: Charles H. Emanuel School
Friday, Oct. 7, – 5:30 p.m. – until (pre-packaging)
Saturday, Oct. 8, – 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (distribution day)
Sunday, Oct. 9 – 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (distribution day)
St. Thomas: Lockhart Elementary School
Friday, Oct. 21 – 5:30 p.m. – until (pre-packaging)
Saturday, Oct. 22 – 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (distribution day)
Sunday, Oct. 23 – 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (distribution day)
Please contact the State Office at 774-9373 to sign up. St. Croix volunteers must sign up no later than Tuesday, Sept. 27 and St. Thomas volunteers no later than Thursday, Oct. 6.
