WTJX Holds Obesity Campaign Walk/Run

Join WTJX’s obesity campaign: Eat right, Exercise for Life! To encourage all Virgin Islanders to adapt a healthier lifestyle, WTJX, the Frederiksted Twin City Lions Club and the Alpha Leo Club will hold a special 2.8 mile walk/run on Saturday, Sept. 24. Pre-register at www.wtjx.org/obesity or pick up a registration form at WTJX’s Richmond facility. The Lions Club will conduct registration drives at Sunny Isles Shopping Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 10 and 17.
The walk/run will start at the Castle Coakley Ballpark, go north of the Majorette Headquarters and then go south to the Lions Club Triangle, then west to Hovensa and right to Castle Coakley Ballpark. It will start at 8 a.m. but late registration will begin at 7 a.m. Water, fruit and obesity campaign giveaways will be distributed.
