The Department of Public Works announces the initiation of a detour on Polyberg Hill Road (Route 310) beginning at the intersection of Route 310 (Polyberg Hill Road) and Bjerge Gada (Route 314). The lane closure and detour will commence on Sunday, Sept. 4.
The improvements to the Polyberg Area of Alton Adams Sr. Drive (Route 310) include the installation of a conduit and the restoration of a section of the road way. The work zone is adjacent to the intersection and will impede the full functioning of the intersection. The project will be in progress for approximately four weeks. Polyberg Area is the second segment of the Island Wide Pavement Rehabilitation Project. The contractor is Virgin Islands Paving Inc.
The motoring public is advised that traffic traversing Route 310 on Polyberg Hill east bound will be detoured through Goat Street, Bjerge Gade and deBeltjen Road.
Motorists are asked to proceed through the work zone with caution and to obey all traffic control signs and signal devices.
