ICMC’s 'Jazz in the Park' Presents The Johnson Project With Joe Ramsay

The next installment of the popular music series “Jazz in the Park,” presented by International Capital and Management Company (ICMC), will take place this Friday from 5-8 p.m. in Roosevelt Park.

“It’s a signature event that we continue to hear positive feedback about following and preceding each and every installment,” said ICMC President Cornel Williams. “This wonderful event is special to us at ICMC since it has proven to serve a dual purpose, both to offer a positive environment for Virgin Islanders and visitors alike to come together in a beautiful setting, as well as a venue to highlight the exquisite talent inherent in the Virgin Islands.”
With St. Thomas’ Johnson Project on tap, featuring renowned saxophonist Joe Ramsay, the evening is set to be one that will not soon be forgotten.
As always, attendees are encouraged to stop by after work with chairs and blankets in hand and take advantage of the opportunity to reconvene with friends old and new. Convenient parking can be found in the Fort Christian Parking Lot located directly across from the Roosevelt Park location.
In the spirit of community, ICMC also gives back at each “Jazz in the Park” event by inviting a different St. Thomas-based nonprofit organization to be highlighted on stage, as well as to run the food and beverage concessions where 100 percent of the proceeds garnered go directly to the selected organization.
“For this installment we have invited Kidscope Inc.,a Child Advocacy Center serving the islands of St. Thomas and St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands since 1997,” said Karen Nelson-Hughes, ICMC community relations manager.
“The important work that they do for the community each year has been well documented, and I certainly urge the community to come out to not only enjoy a fabulous show with a stunning lineup but also to support an organization that continues to make a positive impact in the V.I. community each year.”
