Led by Darnell “Burger” Hendrickson’s 22 points and Eddie Castillo’s 17 – including five 3-pointers – the Hoyas fought their way to a tough 59-56 victory over Guidance in game three of the New Breed Basketball Association finals Saturday at the Ronald Charles gymnasium.
The Hoyas now lead the best-of-five series two games to one. Game four is scheduled for Monday night at the same venue.
The large crowd the came out on Saturday got their money’s worth and then some as these evenly matched teams went at it from the opening whistle of the first quarter until the final whistle in the fourth.
