A man and woman were arrested Monday in two separate assault cases, both involving knife attacks. Also on Monday a male minor was struck by a bullet in his leg, the V.I. Police Department reported Tuesday.

• Kyshma Clarke, 24, was arrested shortly after 6 p.m. and charged with first-degree assault. Police said she cut another person on the face during an assault in Contant Knolls. Her bail was set at $75,000 and she was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections.

• At about 9:30 p.m., Tishawn Vanholten, 18, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault/domestic violence. Police said Vanholten stabbed his ex-girlfriend’s stepfather and tried to stab his ex-girlfriend with a kitchen knife during a domestic dispute that occurred at a private home in Bonne Esperance.

Bail for Vanholten was denied due to the domestic charge and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections.

• Also around 9:30 p.m. in Estate Savan, a male minor was shot in the leg. The victim told police he was near the basketball court when he heard shots fired. He then fell to the ground and realized he was shot. The minor was transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment.
