Agenda:
The committee has scheduled a public hearing to receive testimony and ask questions of Education officials regarding:
a) Educational leadership at public schools
b) Pending school closure
c) Pending layoffs of teachers and other educational professionals

Agenda:
The committee has two meetings scheduled. It will receive testimony at 10 a.m. on Bill No. 29-0108, and at 6 p.m. it will receive testimony and discuss the status of recreational and sports facilities on St. Thomas.

Bill No. 29-0108 – An Act authorizing the governor to negotiate for the purchase or exchange of real property on St. Thomas for a car racing track and for other related purposes.
6 p.m.
The committee will be receiving testimony and discussing the status of recreational and sports facilities on St. Thomas.

The committee has scheduled a meeting to consider the following bills:
Bill No. 29-0039 – An Act amending Title 13, V.I.C., chapter 1, section 62, relating to the number of directors of a corporation
Bill No. 29-0027 – An Act amending Title 3, V.I.C., chapter 22, relating to the duties of the historic preservation officer; Title 29, chapter 27, subchapter111 to enact the Virgin Islands Historic Properties Preservation and Rehabilitation Act; Title 33, V.I.C., chapter 111 to establish a historic preservation commission fund; and Title 33, V.I.C., chapter 85 accordingly
Bill No. 29-0036 – An Act creating the Electric Medical Records Act, providing for the maintenance and use of electronic medical records, clarifying individual rights with respect to the disclosure of information contained in electronic medical records and clarifying the protection of privacy of electronic medical records
Bill No. 29-0080 – An Act appropriating the sum of $3,000,000 to the Department of Human Services to construct an institution for the mentally ill
Bill No. 29-0032 – An Act increasing the administrative fine for physicians who intentionally or negligently fail to comply with the provisions of chapter 65 of Title 22, V.I.C.
Bill No. 29-0082 – An Act establishing the Hotel Development Act of 2011
