Education Holds Public Hearings on Revision of Graduation Requirements

The 16th Virgin Islands Board of Education, the V.I. Career and Technical Education Board and other agency stakeholders involved in the education of the children of the territory, invites the general public to its joint task force hearings regarding the revision of the graduation requirements for public high school students. The St. Croix meeting will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, at St. Croix Vocational Complex. It will be held on St. Thomas from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at Charlotte Amalie High School.

Any individual interested in testifying on the topic of “Requirements or Recommendations for Graduation from High School” are asked to call the Board of Education at 772-4144 or the Career and Technical Education Board at 719-7978 office. Each testifier is asked to provide a hard copy of their testimony in advance. Testimony is limited to three minutes.
