“Green Alternatives to Wood Decking” Is Topic at IGBA Meeting

The Island Green Building Association (IGBA) will have a public presentation at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, at The Marketplace on St. John, 2nd floor. Refreshments begin at 5 p.m. with a speaker from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
J.C. Rentschler of Decks & Docks will demonstrate 95 percent recycled composite decking now available in the Virgin Islands at affordable prices. This alternative to chemically-treated wood can be used for decking and structural supports. Natural mold inhibitors mean no mildew ever, and the material is termite proof, waterproof, maintenance free, customizable in color and carries a 25-year warranty. If you’re building or replacing a deck, come ask questions, and see samples that save work, money and trees.
All are welcome to this free seminar. Call 227-1110 for more information.
