Venetta Brathwaite Dies at 70

Venetta Brathwaite, also "Netta," of Estate La Valle died on Feb. 17, at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. She was 70 years old.
She is survived by her spouse: Dr. Gene Brathwaite; daughters: Dr. Migdalia G. Brathwaite and Venetta Jean Brathwaite; sons: Wayne X. and Gregory V. Chardon; grandchildren: Vanessa Chardon, Wayne Chardon Jr., Marissa Chardon, Jessica Chardon, Gregory Chardon Jr. and Antonio Chardon; great grandchildren: Xavier Chardon, Hadley Chardon, Irie Chardon Gonzalez, Emmanuel Chardon-Gonzalez and Kaloni Chardon; daughter-in-law, Valarie Chardon; sisters: Hildred Mills and Denise Medly; brothers: Eric and Valdmar Krigger; nieces: Desta Benjamin, Deborah Ellis, Iris Sims, Nea Krigger and children, Rea Krigger, Dedire Lootsumpous and April J. Medley; and nephews: Dean Benjamin, Neville Sadio and Children, Pablo Mills and children, Colin Mills and children, Duane Krigger and children, Eric Krigger Jr. and children, and Valdmar Krigger Jr.
She is also survived by great nieces: Zealand Coutsumpous, Tiffany Benjamin, Taylor Ellis, Hayley Ellis and Bianca Mills; great nephews: Tyler Benjamin and Daryl Benjamin; cousins and other relatives: Karen McColly, Juleen Stephens, Janet Lomax, Jacinth, Glen Christopher, Kenneth Christopher, Atell Christopher, Jacqueline Christopher, Christina McColly, Chris McColly, Kaylee Christopher, Krystal Christopher, Adrian Lowe, Jacin Lowe, Ebony Lomax, Chris Lomax, Jeremy Lomax, Karthia Gilbert, Makayla Christopher and Glen Christopher Jr.; special friends: David and Bernice Hogan, Peter and Mary Emmanuel, John and Patrica Josiah, Denny Audrey Bacchus, Jacintha Kent, and Reynold Charles and family; as well as other friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 6, at Peter’s Rest Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
