Pari-Mutuel Betting Begins on St. Thomas for Horse Racing on St. Croix

Millennium Racing Inc. in conjunction with Traxco Inc. of St. Croix has announced that for the first time in Virgin Islands horse racing history there will be pari-mutuel betting conducted on St. Thomas for the live horse races at the Randall “Doc” James Racetrack on St. Croix. It will begin on Sunday, Feb. 20. The pari-mutuel betting on these races will be conducted on St. Thomas at MRI’s Pony Parlor in Frenchtown, as well as Crown Bay Gaming and Sports Lounge located at the Austin “Babe” Monsanto Marine Terminal in Crown Bay.
This opportunity is being provided as a result of a cooperative agreement between Traxco and Millennium Racing Inc. to offer this service to horse racing enthusiasts on the two island districts who are not able to appear at the race tracks in person.
The same service will be available to horse race enthusiasts on St. Croix, when live races are conducted by MRI at Clinton Phipps Park on St. Thomas.
