Maria Matthews-Registe Dies at 67

Maria Matthews-Registe
Maria Matthews-Registe Died on Jan. 29 at Schneider Regional Medical Center. Sh was 67 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Registe; children: Patricia Mathews, Ophelia Allen, Irona Robinson, Eddie Mathews, Ann Questel, Fitzroy Matthews and Didace Matthews; stepchildren: Ivina Williams, Mary, Francis and Marco Registe, Ann Alexander, Sandra Dee Matthews, Deborah Matthews and Asbert Gardener; sisters: Edna Thomas and Mary Daniels; brother, Dickey Daniels; daughter-in-law: Stephanie Lynette Matthews; sons-in-law: John Questel and Joseph Allen; and brothers-in-law: Joseph, Amos, Martin, Phillip and Cuthbert Registe.
She is also survived grandchildren: Natasha Hill, Lyroy Allen, Latoya Matthews, Greg Allen, Cecilia Allen Shaniqua Robinson, Dominique Robinson, Jalani Matthews, Didace Matthews Jr, Jakari Matthews, Jaiden Matthews, Akiilah Codrington, John Questel Jr. and Jason Questel; and great-grandchildren: Chance Questel, Stephon Questel, Nyla Davis, Nigel Freeman, Nakeem Freeman and Makhila Street.
Other survivors include nieces: Sybil Edwards, Coralie Caines, Ellen Daniels, Ingrid Howson and Myrline Caines; nephews:Lionel Caines Jr., Alvin Richardson and Irving Wheatley; great niece, Jamelle Edwards; great nephews: Emilio and Enrique Edwards; grandsons-in-law: Cory McCaskill and Patrick Hill; godchildren: Rasheim Joseph, O’Ryan Davis, Dejah Lima, Dejah Normil and Denaejah Codrington; special friends: Doris Henneman, Jean Wheatly, Agatha Joseph, Iola Brown and Thelma Grant; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, at Memorial Moravian Church. Interment will be at Memorial Moravian Cemetery.
