Suspect a No-Show At Advice of Rights Hearing

Police have issued a wanted poster for Justin Likout of Estate Catherine’s Hope, who failed to appear at his advice of rights hearing Tuesday.

Likout had been arrested Jan. 21 and charged with obtaining money by false pretence, grand larceny and drawing and delivering more than $11,000 in worthless checks to several businesses on St. Croix. He was remanded to jail at that time.

On Friday detectves from the Insular Investigation Bureau arrested Likout again, while still in jail, charging him with trespassing and operating a business without a license. His bail in that case was set at $1,000 and he was returned to custody. Likout was bailed out shortly after his return to jail and has not been seen since.

Police said Likout, 35, wore an electronic monitor since his arrest on assault charges in 2010. However, when he was incarcerated the monitor was removed. Police said the monitor should have been reattached to Likout being bailed out of jail, but it was not.

Anyone who has seen Justin Likout lately or knows where he may be staying or who he is in contact with can call the Insular Investigation Bureau at 772-2171, police emergency 911, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Police said Likout also has active warrants in Florida and Washington state for various charges, including fraud and larceny.
