Rudell Maduro, 20, was arrested Monday evening by officers from the Criminal Intelligence Unit, who charged him with third-degree assault, use of a firearm in commission of a crime of violence and reckless endangerment.
According to police, Maduro’s arrest was based on a January incident in Estate Bovoni housing community where Maduro allegedly hit a male victim with a gun and then fired several shots at the victim as he drove away in his vehicle.
No one was injured in the shooting.
Details on Maduro’s bail status and incarceration were unavailable at press time.
