St. Croix Saturated Patrols Apprehend Five

St. Croix saturated patrols apprehended five suspects during the weekend on drug and firearms charges.

In saturated patrolling, large numbers of V.I. P.D. officers hit the street in force for an extended period of time, saturating a trouble spot with law enforcement. Saturated patrols have been a key weapon in the department’s crackdown on crime.

Decembre was charged with simple possession of a controlled substance, and Bryan was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Police said both suspects were found with drugs at the Consumer’s Gas Station in Estate Grove Place. Bail for Decembre was set at $1,000 and Bryan at $10,000.

• Shortly before 11 p.m. Friday, police arrested Showayne Modeste, 32, of Estate Bethlehem, and Jermaine Wallace, 28, of Estate Sion Hill, and charged them with simple possession of a controlled substance following a routine traffic stop in the Sunny Isle Shopping Center.
