Doris A. Peters Eugenio Dies at 84

Doris A. Peters Eugenio, also known as "DP” or “Mama," of the Herbert Grigg Home for the Aged died on Dec. 31. She was 84 years old.

She is survived by her daughters: Lydia C. Parris, Bernadette Williams and Laverne Lynch-Ortiz; sons: Irvin R. Peters Sr., Jerome Dickerson, Garrett Lynch Sr. and Renwick S. Lynch Sr.; daughters-in-law: Loretta W. Lynch, Linda Larsen-Peters and Paula Lynch; son-in-law, Emanuel Ortiz; brothers: Maldred Peters, Leroy Peters and Ira Edwards; sisters: Cynthia Peters, Adalia Richards and Clementina Knight; and grandchildren: Wendell Parris Jr., Lydell Parris-Shaw, Brenda Parris, Kai Parris Sr., Dian Peters-Scott, Stephanie Peters, Ikusha Bassue, Inderia Peters, Dane Williams, Irvin Peters Jr., Radiance Peters, Jimiyu Williams, Maurice Greenidge, Renwick S. Lynch Jr., Leah Durant, Jamela Dickerson, Jose Joseph, Mahlon Peters, Jaheem Williams, Lorna Davila-Dixon, Hugo Greenidge Jr., Lynel Lynch, Jason Dickerson, Garrett Lynch Jr. and Kahleed Maccabee.
She is also survived by 58 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; the Milligan family, the Richards family, the W.I.M. Hodge family, the Herbert Grigg Home for the Aged family; as well as nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. and a funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Frederiksted Cemetery.
