Crime Stoppers Needs Your Help

Crime Stoppers is asking your help to solve the following crimes. If you know something, say something. Even the smallest bit of information may be just what law enforcement needs to make an arrest.

St. Croix: In late August 2009, a very large copper potstill and retort were stolen from the Whim Museum grounds. Please help law enforcement identify the thieves who stole this historic part of our heritage. In addition, copper, aluminum and other metals have been stolen from other sources around the island, possibly for their scrap value. The minimum cash reward for an arrest is $750.

St. John: On Nov 7, at about 7:30 p.m. the office of Tropical Shipping at Boyson Inc. was burglarized. The burglars stole a small safe containing $300 cash, some credit cards, and some checks. The minimum cash reward for the arrest of the burglar(s) is $714.

St. Thomas: On Dec 22 at 9:14 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of Contant, opposite the Old Mill. Upon arrival, they found the body of Preston Francis. Mr. Francis apparently suffered gunshot wounds and died as a result. The minimum cash reward for the arrest of a homicide suspect is $1,500.

Please continue to help law enforcement make our territory a safer place to live, work and raise a family by telling us what you know about these or any other crimes at www.CrimeStoppersUSVI.org or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Your tips are completely anonymous, and the stateside operators are multilingual. If a tip leads to an arrest or the recovery of stolen property, illegal drugs, or weapons, the tipster receives a cash reward to be paid according to their instructions. Only anonymous callers to Crime Stoppers are eligible for these cash rewards.

Crime Stoppers USVI is run entirely by volunteers and is financed by membership dues and sponsor contributions. To join us in the fight against crime, please visit our website and become a dues-paying member.
