Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Christiansted

Police on St. Croix are investigating the murder of 23-year-old Christian Harley, who was killed by gunfire minutes before midnight Tuesday.

Police were dispatched to Prince Street in Christiansted to investigate a call of shots fired. When they arrived in the area, they found a man, later identified by family members as Harley, lying in the street with several gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical technicians arrived at the scene and transported the victim to Juan F. Luis Hospital, where he later died from his wounds.

Major Crime and Investigation Bureau detectives are investigating the case and urge the public to come forward.
