Officers traveling to the scene saw the suspect, later identified as Florentino, running into the Paul M. Pearson Gardens housing community. Officers chased the suspect on foot, apprehended and arrested him.
Police said further arrests are anticipated in this case.
Bail for Florentino was set at $111,000. Unable to post bail he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
