WAPA Alert: Outages Set for Hull Bay, Frenchman's Bay

According to a WAPA release issued Wednesday afternoon, service interruptions will continue Wednesday as plant technicians make repairs on Unit #18 in the Harley Power Plant.

The following interruptions are scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m.:
–Feeder #7A: service is interrupted to a portion of this feeder in the Hull Bay area; and
–Feeder #10B: service is interrupted to a portion of this feeder in the Frenchman’s Bay area.

WAPA technicians are presently troubleshooting and making repairs on gas turbine Unit #18 in St. Thomas’ Randolph Harley Power Plant after the generator tripped off line last night.

As a result, WAPA has implemented a feeder rotation schedule as follows:

11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
–Feeder #7B: service interruptions for Long Bay, Lockhart Gardens, Raphune Hill, Home Depot, and surrounding areas.

–Feeder #8B: the Peterborg area will return to service at noon

–The Skyline Drive Area will be out until 2 p.m.

–If necessary, service to a portion of Feeder #7A, including Solberg and the Bonne Resolution areas, may be interrupted by early afternoon.
