V.I. Housing Authority Schedules Meeting for Stakeholders

The Virgin Islands Housing Authority will convene a meeting of all stakeholders to discuss upcoming plans for community revitalization projects in both districts. A neighborhood meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Great Hall of the University of the Virgin Islands, St. Croix Campus. The projects to be discussed include: revitalization of the West Christiansted area encompassing neighborhoods surrounding John F. Kennedy, D. Hamilton Jackson and Ralph deChabert public housing communities; and the rehabilitation of the Nicasio Nico community.

VIHA is seeking community-wide support for obtaining a Community Neighborhood Grant specifically for the West Christiansted area.For further information, contact Irma Hodge at 715-7332 or 777-8442.
