Summit Planned on Redefining the Culture of V.I. Government

A two-day summit will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 7 and Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort. Equally hosted by the executive, judicial and legislative branches, its theme is “The Importance of Effective and Efficient Government: Redefining the Culture of Our Government.” The purpose of the summit is to find better ways for the government to operate. Government and agency managers, mid-level to executive-level employees, will discuss ways to streamline the Virgin Islands government, with a goal of making a government with employees who serve the public by delivering excellent customer service and professionalism, according to a press release from Senate President Louis Patrick Hill.
Summit attendees will draft recommendations that will be carried back to their individual departments and agencies to be further developed into applicable strategies for measured improvement.
